Hello guys! I haven't updated in ages! I was in St. Petersburg for almost a week, four days after coming back to Helsinki I was on a plane on my way to Germany and once I got back school started the next day.

I've decided to upload my St. Petersburg photos. I loved my stay there (18.7-23.7) at my cousins. The weather was great (except for 1½ days when the entire city was flooded because of the rain). I bought a really cute dress and broke my Hermitage curse (every time I was in St. Peters I was never able to get inside, until now) and I loved it! I visited a Julio le Parc and Rossi exhibition (seriously check out le Parc [link] so amazing!! especially the alchemie series). My cousin loves those two, but whenever she took any of her friends to the exhibition, they ran away with disgusted face saying: "This isn't art". She was extremely surprised that this time she had to almost drag me out from there! The Impressionistic collection at the Hermitage is also amazing, in some ways even better than the National Gallery in London.

My uncle is an art's dealer so I also got to meet one really cool artist (Gaga) and got an awesome lecture on buying and selling art. Also their entire apartment is filled from floor to ceiling with numerous paintings, so I practically lived in a museum the whole time, you bet I more than ABSOLUTELY LOVED it!!

I'm leaving tomorrow and should be gone until Wednesday afternoon. I won't be working on any requests (sorry) and hopefully I'll survive the 6 hour train ride to St. Petersburg. My visa isn't ready until 10 am tomorrow and the Finnish train leaves at 7 am, so I'll be going on a Russian train. Hopefully it's ok... well, I got a window seat so it should be fine.

I just looked at the upcoming movies and it's absolutely ridiculous how late they show films in the Finnish cinema. For example The Other Boleyn Girl was out already in February, but will show here only in mid September. The Duchess is coming out in September, but won't arrive in Finland until January 9th 2009!! Seriously what is going on!!

I don't get what's the point of going to the cinema anymore when you can actual order a legal DVD of the film earlier than it hits the screen...

My cousin came to visit me from St. Petersburg and we did some major shopping yesterday. I wasn't planning on buying anything, but then thanks to her and ~needpictures I blew most of my salary in Guess. I bought really cute jean shorts and a long short-sleeved button top

Afterwards I went to a classmate's birthday party at a beach. My 22-year-old cousin really had "fun" hanging out with a bunch of drunk teenagers . It was actually pretty fun, Markus and Joey almost dumped me in the water, IN MY CLOTHES!! And the water was so FREEZING! I had to beg and plead for them to let me go. But then I started slashing them with water and they almost drowned me. As a result I had to spend the rest of the evening in wet shorts. Oh, and Markus almost killed me, because I misheard Joey and told him to come to the party 2 hours before it actually started... oops... I'm surprised I'm still alive

At one point the police came to us and we were all freaked out, cause, with one exception, we're all underaged and had quite a bit of alcohol on our hands. The two officers chose one guy of our bunch and started examining him and looking through his bag. As it turned out, someone had called the police, because there was a guy that looked similar to our friend with a knife. Thankfully we got off the hook

Afterwards I went with my cousin to town and ate at a Mexican restaurant. We came home at around 01.00AM. It was fun and we really managed to relax.

Ok, today was a very L O N G day, but it was pretty fun. I went to the movies with my friends to see Prince Caspian. Before that I got a gift for another friend's birthday (which is this Friday). Before that I got a call from my cousin who told me she will be coming to visit in a few days (so sudden!! yet always welcome!)
And before that I went riding. Ali decided to be a pain until I rode him bareback. Once the saddle was off he was awesome.

And just a few minutes ago I got a partner for Wanhat (that's a dance that the second year highschoolers do and involves learning a bunch of old-style dances) <= suddenly ballroom experience comes in handy

So I'm really happy I've got a partner and just hope he doesn't bail on me

Must thank who just happened to torture me all day into asking the guy. What can I say, your work seems to have been paid off.
