"Don't be afraid," I murmured.
"We belong together." I was abruptly overwhelmed by the truth of my own words. This moment was so perfect, so right, there was no way to doubt it. his arms wrapped aroung me, holding me against him... It felt like every nerve ending in my body was a live wire. "Forever," he agreed. Stephenie Meyer: Breaking Dawn --------------------------------------------------------------------- (C) Laura Leusko |

but somehow new moon is the most touching for me
i loved breaking dawn... i just reread it over the christmas break (again) and fell in love with it all over again

I think my favourites are Twilight and Eclipse
--
the reason i like it so much is that after all that angst and depression, all the romance just feels so much stronger and the part when they meet again makes me melt
i personally think eclipse has a lot of good parts, but as a complete book i didn't really find it that good, but when you ignore the structure and stuff and just focus on the characters and their stories, it's awesome, but i found breaking dawn better...

I simply hate reading the part where Bella is trying not to remember but still...she's terrified to forget
Stephenie Meyer is a brilliant author
--
but she's a really awesome psychologist, she knows what to say and the right time for it, and i can really relate to all her characters
the characters are also pretty strong in my eyes, and i always like strong characters

And yeah the characaters ARE strong

my point was more that even if the style in terms of its literary value sucks, it doesn't mean that the book doesn't appear good to its readers
i like it, even though my sister just gave me hell for reading "non-serious" literature...

But I get your point entirely
What other 'serious' literature wiuld you recommend me?

one really good book is Wild Swans an autobiography of a chinese girl during the cultural revolution in China
tell me your theme preferences and i'll give you a list
i so agree... even though it's childlish when you really look at it, it just has this charm that pulls you to it and holds you captive for a long time
